SoFine Arabians...putting the Pleasure back into Performance!
click here to read the story of Cahafra Inferno+ and his return to SoFine Arabians

Though the beginnings of SoFine Arabians were back in the sands of time.......as you can see from the early pictures, I was bitten by the bug at an early age and cannot remember ever not being in love with horses! Ireland and the Irish have always had a romance with the horse and I was no exception.

I'm the one in the middle by the way - I think I was 14 when these pcitures were taken. My friend Heather on the left and Sara on the right. The place was Rath Cuan - Comber, Northern Ireland.

Below, Heather, Sara and me. The horses were, Prince a bay gelding and Jessica, a cob mare.

SoFine Arabians had its offical beginning in 1987 with the purchase of a Half-Arabian gelding, called Mucho. From one gelding it has grown to 30 something horses, both purebred and Half-Arabian.

The purchase of Cahafra Inferno+ in 1987 also started us down the road of showing and breeding. This stallion has taught us so much about the Arabian horse and the community which has helped to preserve this magnificent breed.

I always believed from the start that this stallion had the quality and ability to be a National Champion. He proved me right in 1996 when he won Reserve National Champion Western Pleasure AAOTR for his new owner, Carolyn Lesley.

In 1999, an opportunity arose that allowed us to repurchase Inferno and we jumped at the chance. Having him back with us made the farm and our breeding program feel complete once more. I've always heard that if you truly love something and let it go, if it returns to you then it was meant to be...this is true in this case, we were back together again!

SoFine Arabians is dedicated to breeding quality athletic horses with good minds, with a primary focus on performance with Western Pleasure, reining and a little hunter pleasure thrown in. We like a big bodied horse with a good length of leg underneath and a mind that will keep them going into a ripe old age as a show horse. We want a soft, supple, rounded horse with collection and cadence.

SoFine Arabians is located on 100 acres, 12 miles south of Dublin, Texas - centrally located 1.5 hours southwest of Fort Worth, 1.5 hours north of Waco, and 1.5 hours southeast of Abilene. We are just minutes away from the oldest Dr Pepper plant in the US which still uses pure cane sugar. Drop by and we'll talk horses over a good old fashioned Dr Pepper float!
